Crain’s NY Business Names Dr. Sunil Budhrani as One of its 2025 Notable Leaders in Health Care Technology

We’re excited to share that Crain's NY Business has announced that our Chief Innovation and Medical Officer, Dr. Sunil Budhrani, MD, MPH, MBA, is one of its 2025 Notable Leaders in Health Care Technology. Dr. Budhrani is leading one of the most important developments in US healthcare in recent history: the launch of the first unified claims and enterprise health platforms in the country—Judi Health™.

This recognition highlights leaders who are using technology to solve some of healthcare’s most urgent problems and guide the industry forward. It affirms what we already know: Dr. Budhrani is helping redesign broken healthcare infrastructure that has led to years of runaway costs while not working for patients or providers. In fact, according to Business Group on Health’s 2026 Employer Health Care Strategy Survey, employers are expecting costs to rise once again by a median of 9%. This is unsustainable.

His entire 25+ year career as a practicing ER physician, healthcare executive, and digital health pioneer has lead to this innovation in a pivotal time in US healthcare. Along with managing national physician groups and holding executive hospital roles, Dr. Budhrani founded one of the first telemedicine companies, was CEO & CMO of Aetna-Innovation Health, chaired the Fairfax County Public Schools Foundation, and received multiple accolades throughout his career, including George Washington University’s prestigious Public Health Award for his service during the pandemic. With his multidimensional healthcare experience, Dr. Budhrani has seen many facets of the healthcare industry and knows what must be done to reduce friction in the system.
